City of Cornwall Using Audience™ to Communicate Throughout Recreation Facilities

With an active population of nearly 50,000 residents, the City of Cornwall invested in digital signage to enhance communication within the city’s recreation facilities.

With an emphasis on the promotion of extracurricular activities, such as sports, culture and community involvement, the City of Cornwall selected the Audience™ platform to control and distribute venue and scheduling information across multiple screens installed within three of the city’s recreation facilities:

City of Cornwall Civic Centre: The heart of the Complex is the Ed Lumley Arena, a modern ice rink with seating for up to 5800 people and can accommodate a variety of events from championship hockey, professional ice skating, weddings, conventions and top entertainment acts.

City of Cornwall Aquatic Centre: Includes a 6-lane competition pool, a leisure pool, a 2-storey waterslide, and a whirlpool. Other features include an on-deck lounge, temporary bleacher seating for 200 spectators and acts as the new main entrance for all sports and recreation activities in the expanded complex.

City of Cornwall Benson Centre: The Benson Centre offers three NHL-sized rinks, community meeting rooms, an indoor field house and indoor courts for tennis, pickleball and badminton.

Fully integrated with Perfect Mind, the Audience™ CMS uses Perfect Mind data to populate schedules for a variety of aquatic, field, court and meeting rooms throughout the various facilities, with Cornwall staff also able to manually export rink schedule information including dressing room assignments and team names with the distribution of content efficiently controlled by a variety of pre-set keywords.

With the success of the recreation facility deployments, the City of Cornwall plans to expand their Audience™ controlled municipal communication network with upcoming installations in the city’s Housing and Social Services offices.
