Bruce County Paramedic Services Enhances Communication with Audience™ Digital Signage

Bruce County, located in Southwestern Ontario and home to eight municipalities, employs a dedicated team of approximately 100 employees who provide essential pre-hospital care to nearly 75,000 residents and visitors. To improve internal communication and ensure timely access to critical information, Bruce County has implemented Audience™ digital signage solutions across its paramedic stations.

With a fleet of nine ambulances stationed throughout the region, Bruce County Paramedic Services now utilizes Audience™ digital signage to keep staff informed about real-time updates such as roster status, traffic alerts, and current weather conditions. Currently, Audience™ is deployed in seven paramedic stations, with plans to expand into three additional locations.

Paramedic team members use the intuitive, browser-based Audience™ platform to manage and schedule both site-specific and network-wide content. This seamless content management is further enhanced by custom-built templates from Capital Networks, allowing staff to post relevant information under the following categories:

  • Current Rosters
  • News Updates
  • Weather Alerts
  • Hospital Closures
  • Road Closures and Traffic Alerts
  • Outbreak Alerts
  • And more…

Given the critical importance of weather updates for emergency services, additional screen zones are dedicated to automated forecasts, including 5-Day, 18-Hour, and an expanded radar view. These zones provide essential data on potential adverse weather conditions, along with a section for breaking health, weather, and traffic alerts.
